The Pickle Award is presented annually to a student at UT Austin whose cumulative, notable contributions to UT campus life best exemplify the high standards of leadership and service that were the hallmarks of the life and career of Congressman J. J. "Jake" Pickle. The endowed award was created in 1999 by the University Unions Advisory Council. The Pickle Award recipient will receive a $4000 check, a certificate, and an autographed copy of Congressman Pickle¹s autobiography, JAKE. The Pal award recipient will receive a $1000 check and a certificate
